Chiropractic is a non-drug based and non-surgical treatment for the body. Chiropractors use adjustments to the spine and other parts of the body to correct alignment and heal the body. Most adjustments are done by hand but there are many techniques. Your doctor will help you find a technique that will work for your condition.

A chiropractic adjustment is used to correct a subluxation (misalignment). Typically it is a small “push” on the affected area that moves the joint and removes nerve irritation.

90% of all adjustments are painless. In the beginning, and especially if you are in a lot of pain, the adjustment may be uncomfortable. This is usually short-lived. Most people find that the adjustment helps them feel better quickly.

The good news is that chiropractic care can help you feel better quickly. Most conditions respond in the first couple of weeks of treatment. Some chronic conditions can take longer; but we always perform periodic re-examinations to be sure our patients are progressing normally.

Taking medications can mask the symptoms of a nervous system problem but it won’t correct the cause. By taking medicines you can make the problem worse as well as expose yourself to a lot of undesired and dangerous side effects. Patients treated with chiropractic care for a variety of conditions have better results than with medicines and less recurrences or chronic problems. Chiropractic corrects the cause of the problem and allows the body to work better.

Many people have spinal problems for years before pain occurs. It is a good idea to have a thorough spinal exam from a chiropractor to check for problems whether you are having pain or not. A thorough exam should consist of a history, range of motion exam, orthopedic tests, posture evaluation, palpation (feeling) the muscles and joints, and spinal X-rays if a problem is suspected. Your doctor should also give you a complete report of findings on your spine.

No. You don’t have to do chiropractic care forever. A lot of people do choose to have ongoing wellness care after their spinal problem is corrected to keep it that way. Many people report that regular spinal adjustments make them feel better and keep them healthier, but the choice is always up to you.

The medically integrated model was developed to give people access to a healthcare team that combines alternative medicine with highly advanced and progressive medical treatments. It gives people the best of both worlds and a team that’s focused on getting them better.

Your treatment recommendations will be based on your problem, what works best for those problems, and what your personal preference is in regards to your treatment. We may offer you options to choose from and will always educate you about your treatment choices.

In some instances, medication can be very helpful or humane. However, we know that a lot of people take medicine to mask their symptoms but never get to the root of their problem… so the problem just stays under the surface and gets worse over time. Also, many medicines have harmful side effects especially if they’re used for long periods of time. Just read the insert on a medication and you’ll be asking yourself if it’s worth it.

We want to find the cause of the problem and fix the problem so that your body works as best possible and lasts a long time. Our philosophy is less is more when it comes to medication.

Symptoms like pain, stiffness and weakness can all indicate problems. If you have to start changing how you do things to work around a body problem, that’s a problem. Getting checked sooner versus later is always a good plan.

We are not an urgent care clinic or a primary care doctor.

With our focus on Regenerative Medicine and Chiropractic we know that some of the treatments we offer are very specialized and not every doctor may know the specifics of treatment. If we offer a service your doctor is unfamiliar with we are happy to answer your questions or even speak to your doctor if you like.

We always put our patient’s comfort first. Most treatments should be comfortable. If a treatment may cause temporary pain our doctors will tell you and give you instructions on how to manage it. We use a variety of treatment techniques to be able to keep our client as comfortable as possible.

When someone has a physical problem they may need treatment from time to time or ongoing if the problem is chronic. Similar to when someone has diabetes or heart disease they may need to make lifelong changes. Our goal is to get our clients to a point where they are functioning as they like, are stable and are not reliant on medicines to manage their symptoms. Many of our patients will elect to do wellness services because they just feel good and want to stay that way.
